 With a minimum stay requirement of seven days a year in Portugal, five years after applying for this residence permit, you can apply for permanent residence or nationality, provided certain conditions are met.

It is possible to obtain Portuguese nationality through family relations (ascendants, descents, marriage or non-marriage status) or by residing in Portugal for more than five years.
